WKRK Interviews Zone Proxima CEO Debbie Denise Reese

Zone Proxima Leadership Awarded Scholarship: Present and Exhibit Zone Proxima Math

Zone Proxima Math, an early childhood readiness initiative, received a full scholarship from the Gathering 4 Gardner (G4G) Foundation to introduce the math program to the community of G4G15 attendees February 21-25, 2024 in Atlanta, GA. Representing the company, leadership Debbie Denise Reese, PhD, and Steven Inglima manned an exhibit throughout the conference and gave a presentation to the general assembly.

The Cherokee Scout’s March 13, 2024, issue recognized Zone Proxima’s Gathering 4 Gardner 15 (G4G15) scholarship award. Zone Proxima leadership presented its math for early childhood initiative during the Gathering. G4G attendees should understand and support this theoretically grounded and sound approach to early childhood math readiness. Zone Proxima Math teaches adults to guide young children’s discovery of foundational mathematics through concrete challenges that embody foundational mathematics. G4G attendance reactivated Reese’s awareness of the misconception that one-off “fun” experiences with science or math increase lifelong interest and lead to science and math achievement.
