NEW REPORT! TIMSS 1995-2023: Zone Proxima charts investigate grade 4 math preparedness (on track for college- & career-readiness) across the globe.
Zone Proxima's report of 1995-2023 Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study features tables for each participating jurisdiction's grade four mathematics results. The report provides annotated illustrations (red text in illustration) and instructions for reader describing how to interpret the charts. It also presents a use case discussing how the charts might be used to inform research and interventions to improve mathematics achievement.

Zone Proxima released its report of the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) data, covering each participating jurisdiction's grade four mathematics results from 1995 through the most recent testing in 2023. The report focuses on the percentage of testees achieving each of five benchmarked levels of mathematics achievement, from the highest achievement (advanced) to the lowest (student performance is inadequate to determine a knowledge or performance level). The Zone Proxima charts fill a gap left when the U.S. Department of Education lost funding to update its reporting tool with 2023 data. The Zone Proxima report includes exploration of preparedness, estimating the percentage of grade four students on track college- and career-readiness. Two versions of the charts are available for download.
